Summer Travel Teams Enjoying Great Success

BYC Summer Travel Teams are well into the tournament season. Read about some of the highlights below!

6u Team (Coached by Joel Merry)

Our youngest all-stars finished out the season 11-0. They were champions of the Chi Chester Tournament!!


7u Team (Coached by Chris Dillon)

The team were runner up’s at Aston Middletown. They got their revenge on Hilltop beating them at Llanerch tourney championship. The team also won the Drexel Hill tournament.  Great job by our 7’s!!


8u District Team (Coached by Nestor Acosta)

The team won the District Championship and is headed to States!


8u Select Team (Coached by Tom Cahill)

The team was 15-3 overall and won 3 tournaments championships (Gloucester, Chi, & Drexel Hill)!!


9u District Team (Coached by George Lombardo)

The team lost 5-2 in the state quarterfinals to their rival Nether Swarthmore.  Michael Costa, Johnny Orsini, Jordan Hinson, Justin Hartman, Cam Woolard, & Garret Hosterman won the Gold Medal in the Around the Horn Skills Competition. Cole Lombardo & Ryan Marafino won the Silver Medal in the Fastest Around the Bases Skills Competition


9u Select A Team (Coached by Sam Iannucci)

The team was runner up in the 2017 BYC Bill Van Belle Memorial Tournament.



10u Select A Team (Coached by Steve McDerrmott)

The team reached the championship game and were runner ups in the Moorestown tournament. Also, the boys won the Delran Summer Slugfest Championship!


12u 50/70 District Team (Coached by Jerry Troutner, Mike Albero, Tony DiMartino, Pat Van Horn)

The 12u team won Mt Laurel Championship beating Medford (2 time NJ state Champs). This the 3rd Mt Laurel trophy the boys have in 4 years! 

The 12u team won District 9 Championship for the 5th year in a row!  Undefeated at Districts! Shout out to entire team and coaching staff!  Many hours of hard work went into this tremendous run which included a States victory.  See pic in the photo album!


12u Select Team (Coached by Bryan Fean)

The team was extremely competitive and reached the finals and were runner ups in the Norwood tournament. 


14u Travel Team (Coached by Matt Hills)

The team reached the championship game and were runner ups in the Delco Championship.
